Employment Program

Queen City Clubhouse is looking to partner with businesses in the Cincinnati area to offer employment opportunities to our members.

The Clubhouse model offers three levels of employment support:

  • Transitional Employment

  • Supported Employment

  • Independent Employment

What is Transitional Employment?

Transitional Employment is the highest level of support for Clubhouse members.  These are entry-level positions intended to allow members to enter the workforce with direct support from Clubhouse staff.

What does a Transitional Employment position look like?

  • Businesses designate a specific position for a Clubhouse member (10-15hr/week)

  • Clubhouse staff identify an appropriate member to fill the position - no interviewing needed!

  • Queen City Clubhouse staff members are trained alongside members to know the duties and responsibilities of the position

  • QCC staff are on-site to train the member employee when they begin their position

  • As members become more independent QCC staff will stop by on occasion to check on the progress of the member and provide support as needed

  • The member holds this position for 12-18mo before transitioning off the position to allow opportunity for another member to step in

What is the benefit for the business?

  • The member employee will always have as much as needed to ensure the member is successful - ensuring strong employees for the business!

  • What we call the Clubhouse Guarantee! The 10-15hr are covered 100% of the time.  If a member cannot make a shift due to a schedule conflict or illness, a trained Clubhouse staff member can cover the shift!

  • Actively breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness in the Cincinnati community!
